Special Awards What with about 100 hundred people travelling from all around the world to a small town called Matsumoto, we found that the bigger part of our work was operating a full fledged travel service, with itineraries, flights, ground transportation, lodging, schedules, and sightseeing to be worked out for our guests. Based on our experience, we have decided to follow in my grandfather Fuad's footsteps and open our own Fandrich "Gateway to the Orient" Travel Bureau There were some interesting misses along the way however, and these misses as well as other unscheduled 'events' make for some great story telling. This section is devoted to the untold behind the scenes, under the table stories which made this wedding all the more memorable.

Magellan Award		In which Roger Bergs travels all the way from Boston USA to Azumino Japan without a hitch, map, or phone call.
Seiko Time Award		In which Mary Jane Fandrich manages to sleep all the way from Narita Airport to a destination in the hinterlands far west of Tokyo.
My Way Award		In which Raja Hajjar (against all odds) makes a 450 km solo trip from Matsumoto to Shinjuku and back (or was it Nagoya?) to get his Japan Rail Pass stamped.
Out to Lunch Award		In which Midori's family enjoys a relaxed lunch with the driver of the minivan, while our guests arrive at the train station without transportation.
Shutterbug Award		In which Reiko Kamegai decides to prove her ability as stealth photographer at our wedding, shooting some 200 frames, and creating a lovely wedding album for us as a gift!
Blink Sync Award		In which Midori manages to synchronize her blink rate with almost everyone's cameras at the wedding and brings new meaning to the expression "Eyes wide shut".
