One of the things
on the top of Midori's "to do" list was shopping.
There certainly were lots of interesting things to
buy here in Bali which might go well in our own
place in Tokyo. Bali's many shops reminded me of
rummaging through a "Pier 1 Imports" store. Midori
learned that if you don't bargain, you will pay
several times more than necessary.
I also found lots
of trinkets in shops that told me that my mother
must have passed by here years before us.
So now I know where
she got all those things we used in our home all
those years!
Midori and I
bought "Balinese" chopsticks for all my colleagues
at work, and cleared out a couple stores of their
stock in the process.
