This sign is a
warning, and relates to the "truth in advertising"
I have discussed earlier. The above sculpture of a
diver in distress (impaled on the rocks?) was the
actual greeting sign to one of the diving resorts
at Tulamben. Honest. One would think that the
resort operator would have the good sense to take
it down. I think the resort was called "Paradise
Resort Tulamben", next door to our own "Mimpi
Resort Tulamben". Mimpi rhyms in Japanese with
"Himpi", which means "second-rate". |
