Here is Midori shopping up a storm. It amazed me how much shopping we could do, and yet buy so little. (We improved Indonesia's trade figures very little during our stay.) After a while, I got Midori to stop worrying about bargaining shop keepers down over a dime difference in price. Bali was quite inexpensive compared with downtown Tokyo, but even so, we saw very few Balinese shopping in these stores themselves. Next time we will bring some Indonesian friends along. (And save a nickel, or two).
