Background

I was born in Tokyo, Japan. When I was 5, my family moved to Hamburg, Germany because my father was transfered. At the age of 8, I moved to Paris, France. Paris is the place that left the biggest impression on me, influencing my life and personality. This was also the place where I got the taste of good cheese. Ever since I have become a cheese & wine fan. I also started taking ballet lessons, which eventually led me to pursue ballet as a career. Anyhow, I came back to Tokyo at the age of 13. The following 4 years were the only years in my life where I was educated in Japanese, my mother tongue! We eventually had to move again when I was in high school; this time to Brazil. I finished the American School there, then came back to do University in Tokyo. After only a year though, I flew away to Europe again to risk my life for Ballet. I became a member of ballet companies and danced professionally for 5 years, until I was again led back home to Tokyo.

Interests, Activities & Plans

I still have a lot of interests in performing arts such as ballet, operas, and classical music concerts. My boyfriend(now husband) is a violinist, so I have lately been encouraged to start practicing piano again.

My plan in the future? I know that I will be working in the wine industry for a while here in Japan, but who knows what will happen after that? I do have many desires like studying, having a family, etc. but God will decide all that for me. So far, He has been providing me a wonderful life, not always that easy, but full of challenges. I feel I was meant to lead a life with constant change. I also feel that every person is born for a reason, and one of the many tasks in our life is to search for that purpose.

Other Interesting Things

I am essentially a happy person. Not because I feel I'm special, but because I think humans are entitled to be happy. At the age of 25, I realized the limitations of a human potential. I discovered that human cannot live alone essentially, no matter how talented or rich you are, or even how hard you try. The talent and wealth is given by our Creator anyway, so that we are each allotted a particular task to fulfill on this earth. As I decided to follow Jesus, the meaning of life became clear to me. The life before the decision was not bad, but not perfect. There was always something missing, but it took 25 years to discover that.

With His guidance, I know why I struggle sometimes, and why I am overly elated at other times. I also know that nothing in my life is a waste because all is given by Him. If there are any Christian brothers or sisters in the world who happen to read my home page, please feel free to share with me your experiences in your walk with Jesus. Also, those who aren't Christians, but want to know more about Him, or want to share anything with me, feel free to contact me.

Other Places in Webspace

These are my favourite sites in areas that interest me most:

Ballet-The Royal Ballet-Sylvie Guillem

I am also fond of fine art such as Chagall's works.
